Dewalt D26200 vs Makita RT0701C vs Kress 1050

Sorry to create another topic about it but can’t decide myself based on the topics I had read. I’m buying a spindle in Europe for the x-crave that I’ll order from USA and so I it looks like there are at least 3 spindles that the people choose from:

Dewalt D26200
Makita RT0701C
Kress 1050

The main purpose for CNC will be to cut acrylic and milling aluminium. It looks like most of the people choose makita and almost every person say that kress is the better one. Dewalt also looks to be the expensive one. Do people choose makita and kress because they are better or just cheaper?

Thank you

Dewalt is an easy / affordable choice in the U.S. and affords the option of using an ER-style collet from Precise Bits, and can also have a VFD added to it.

Makita is an affordable option world-wide, and affords precision collets through Elaire Corp. (it was my choice, since there was a local dealer)

Kress is a real spindle, expensive here in the U.S., (also awkward to use since many of them need a 220 outlet) but the best choice if it suits your needs — advantages include being narrower, so reducing lever effects, and being rated at duty usage levels, not peak horsepower as consumer-oriented gear is.

Makita :+1:

Kress 1050 :+1:

Don’t forget to compare the weights of each.

Dewalt D26200 - 196.80€ - 1.9Kg - No Load Speed 16000-27000 rpm
Makita RT0701C (Makita RT0700CX4 european version?) - 138.70€ - No Load Speed 10,000-30,000 rpm
Kress 1050 FME-1 - 165.00€ - 1.7Kg - No Load Speed 5000-25000 rpm

To cut acrylic do I need slower velocities?

Yes, slower speeds help w/ acrylic, as does a single flute bit:
