Zero plate

Hi a while back I saw a post thinking I would get back to it, but cannot find it. Among other things the post talked about doing an aluminium zero plate, but with the Arduino pin. Me thinking this was not possible wanted to read the info. Can anyone help me with this endeavour? Many thanks

So… Just to make sure I understand this correctly. The Z-probe that you can get with your machine only finds the Z offset. Whereas this touch plate from Triquetra zeros all 3 of the axis?
