Z axis on Picsender

Help the Z axis is going crazy while using PicSender. When I click on the up arrow two or three times the Z axis moves up and then starts moving down. (Up-Down, up Down, Down, up, Down, up). Anyone know why this would happen?

Do the Z axis behave the same with Easel or UGS?

Check and verify proper continuity for all 4 wires to the stepper motor.
If one is broken/intermittent the motor will operate as usual except direction will be random.
