Y axis stepper wiring

Getting ready to do the wiring today, and was looking at the diagrams here: Redirecting…

Now, when I look at the diagram for the stepper wiring, the wiring for only one of the windings on the Y axis is reversed. The result is:

Y1: Blue (white), Red, Green, Black
Y2: Red, Blue (white), Green, Black

Is that correct? Should the green and black also be reversed?

When originally testing I completely flipped Y2 (Black, Green, Red, Blue), and that worked as expected reversing the motors. Is that not correct?

only reverse one pair on one end.

I’m used to standard DC motors, so just assumed each winding would need to be reversed.
