I was using my xcarve normal, I moved it to a different table as I was using my table saw as the work table. I tried to use it again today and I cant get the Y axis to move, there are no lights on the gshield when moving the y axis. I can unplug the gshield and move the carriage manually and the light for the y axis comes on, but when I try to move it via easel or UGS nothing works… Any advice?
I did verify that all the cables were connected correctly as well… Everything looks good… I did find someone posted in the gSheild q&A board with the same issue…
After moving the machine, I would verify…one more time…that the Y-Axis stepper motor wires are all still attached nice and snug with no loose strands.
Everything looks good… Nothing out of the ordinary…
Did the G-Shield come loose from the Arduino?
I did reseat the gshield when this started to see if that would fix it, but I didn’t… When I reseated it I made sure the power supply and USB port were both unplugged…
All I can say is, something probably came loose when the machine was moved…I would disconnect the y-axis wires and reconnect, maybe they only appear nice and tight…
I contacted inventables and they sent me a new gshield, everything works fine now…
