My thanks to LarryM. Yeah I had the year axis wires reversed. Fixed that now the next problem, my z axis is binding at the top of the travel during homing actually come to a stop and alarms! Any ideas? Should I put some lube on the screw (acme)?
Thanks greg
I used the wire that came with it. The reason I think it’s binding is because it moves smooth until it gets near the top then it slowly comes to a stop, the motor is still trying to move it
Watch the bottom of the screw when you move the Z axis with the motor to see if the screw is bent. If it is bent, then the bottom of the screw will wobble around as it turns. Some movement is normal because the bottom end is not supported, but a lot of movement would indicate a bent screw.
Did you do the drill exercise with the screw and delrin nut that was recommended in the instructions?
I took the z axis apart checked the Acme screw doesn’t seem to be bent. Rolled it on a table top no wobble. I’ll try the drill now. Thanks for your time.
