Not getting the proper help I need from Inventables so I thought I’d try here.
Just getting started. When I try a sample cut (no bit installed) the job
is elongated (exactly) 4 times in the Y travel. Also when I jog it manually
through easel it will move (when set to 1 inch) properly on the X and Z
but it moves exactly 4 inches in the Y travel. Any ideas?
My guess… I think it must be in the coding somehow – where Y should move only 1 inch, instead moves 4 inches – any setting somewhere for this?.
As it sits…
All V wheels are torqued as suggested. Belts have even tension (3.5lbs per one inch lift at center of belt). Heat shrink added – so no slipping.
Axis pots have been adjusted to avoid dropout (too low) and thermal overload (too high). The boards are seated well and have good contact – all lights are working as they should on the boards as well.
I am running Windows 7pro.
Easel Local 2.2 - suggested for win 7 - fixed connection issues (so far)
Try swapping the X and Y axis wires at the gShield (with power off, turn off the 24 volt supply and then unplug the USB cable). See if the problem moves to the X axis and if the Y axis now works correctly.
