I apologize for being computer stupid but if you guys could help I would be eternally grateful. where can I find the easiest tutorial guide for step by step instructions to walk me thru 3d carving? the x-carve has the programs needed but I cannot seem to wrap my head around it. thanks.

Try the Aspire tutorials. They can do 3D carving. I know the program is expensive, but the tutorials are free. Would give you an idea of what the 3D programs can do.
