Where can yo adjust the height safe spindle height?

Hi I am wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the safety height when the spindle raises up before carving.

What does step over mean?

The percentage the bit steps over as it cuts. 100% step over would be no overlap, 50% step over would overlap half the bit thickness…

Did they ever change to allow the advanced settings to remain set?

Since this post as Jay asked Dec 2016 “Did they ever change to allow the advanced settings to remain set?” I would like to set mine to a default of 4mm rather than default 3.8 for most of my work. This just makes it quicker for reset on multiple jobs.

I used it several times today and no it has not changed.
