I’ve been having issues getting my z axis trammed front to back. I have searched all over this forum, tried shimming my Z, checking for rotation of the X and any other thing I could find. Until tonight, the best I could get was this with a 1-1/4” bit…

You should do it like this. Loosen all of the top wheels at once and let the x-carriage settle on to the rail. There is a tiny bit of slop in the holes that could cause a problem if you tightened the top wheels down before you put it on the x rail. Once you are sure the top wheels are all settled, tighten them back down and then adjust the bottom wheels. Once you get that done, get the scale out and properly tension the belts. Then make sure the z is trammed in and you should be in a much better place.
