Above is a link requesting features in Fusion 360 for exporting SVGs in addition to solely DXF.
This will aid in importing sketches to a large volume of 3rd party software for machine control such as Easel, laser cutting software, and a myriad of other things.
Please pause for a moment to aid us all in getting our needs met.
Fair question regarding a flat platform transition for imports/exports. However even with that, there is a learning curving with CAM tooling etc. So, in that specific regard, it could aid the “baby-step” transition from one to the other.
More importantly, it provides the access and opportunity for so much more…
The intent was to allow a user to pull their sketch as an SVG, and use it on any platform which allows SVG, directly from the source without translation (which adds time and possible translation errors).
@PhilJohnson I’ve been messing around with Fusion360’s CAM. Are there “pre-sets” for Inventables end mills or do you just type them in manually? Also – any recommendations on settings for the X-Carve?
