I think I need to make a sawdust stove…

That’s similar what I’m using now for couple of years. Difference is I’m adding small wood sticks to hold sawdust stable and longer.
Please be careful of sawdust:
- risk of spontaneous combustion
- some wood species can be poisonous to some animals
- some wood species are aleopathic (will inhibit plant growth — walnut is great to spread on walking paths)
- some species can spark an allergic response in people (John Economaki had to change over from using rosewood and similar tropicals in his shop because of prolonged exposure)
I use mine for filler material
In eastern Europe they add water to help compact the sawdust then let it dry out in brick format. good for fuel during cold months.
