Caveats.
1.) I used @CharleyThomas Triquetra auto-zeroing touch plate. YMMV based on what you are using to zero.
2.) This will only work if you are not utilizing the full width of your material. If you follow the images below, you’ll understand why.
This is what I’ve been using for long items before I make my next upgrade to a 2000mm Y-axis (which is coming…soon-ish.) I hope that this can help someone as so many have helped me.
