I carve this in a 30x80 cms plywood piece with a 1/8 downcut bit, painting with dark brown tint, and re carve with a 1/16 downcut bit the head and arms. Paint the color zones with acrilyc paint and put sealed spray over the acrilyc color. The texture of the plywood’s interior layers do the “wave effect” at design.
