Shallow cut depth does not show non-cut objects in Preview pane

Screenshots and more information provided below.

The issue appears to be when a shallow depth is set for an object and it is not able to be cut with the chosen bit, the preview does not show the area as red so the only real indication is by zooming in and looking at the toolpath. More complicated designs won’t necessarily have a “flag” that the bit is improperly sized.

yeah rule of thumb is always post a picture if possible of the problem at hand cause when people can visually see it more people can help with a solution

I was short of time when I posted but wanted to at least post something to at least remind myself to provide more info and well, on more investigation, the issue is actually different than this but I’ll post the screenshots that I’ve taken that show the issue (this is on a project with a 1/16" circle and a 1/4" circle only) and then what the actual issue is (I’ll try to edit the original post as well to reflect it).

Proper bit sizes for cutting everything (multi bit):

Now…the real issue here, is the cut depth, whether single or multi-bit, doesn’t show the red of not being cut with the selected bit. I was doing designs that only need 1/16" cut so it wasn’t showing.

Here’s a multi-bit at depth of 0.5" (the same project and objects with only the depth of cut changed from 0.2 in to 0.5 in):

And here’s a single bit with 0.2 inch depth (no indication that the smaller hole won’t be cut):

Lol I do that all the time people give me crap for it
