Quick power supply question

I’ve ordered new Nema 23s (not from Inventables as they were out of stock), and a new power supply (24v, 400W 16.x amp)

The PS should be here next week, the motors won’t be here until Feb 1st. Would there be any advantage to installing the new PS on my current rig with Nema 17s? I current have the 90watt laptop style power supply.

I know it won’t hurt anything, but would it give the Nema 17s any advantage?

There is no advantage.
It is the amount of CURRENT that is being pushed to the motors that dictates the power.
Your NEMA 17’s are probably maxed out on current as it already stands.
Wait till you get your NEMA 23 motors. Then you will need more power.
