Question about end stops / upgrading a Shapoko

Hi,

I’m connecting the X-Controller to a Shapoko. I assume the end stops are for home position, or can they be used for max travel? Because the material thickness is always going to change it doesn’t make much sense to have a Z end stop. Advice?
