Making a light switch cover

Hi,

I need a little bit of help from the American based forum users. My Girlfriends parents now live in Seattle and they have very kindly arranged tickets for my girlfriend and me to come over in August and stay with them for 2 weeks. Her mother since moving to the US has started collect light switch (wall switch) covers. Now to my question, I’d like to knock something up on the X-carve as a little thank you and thought i would make a cover however being in the UK I’ve got no dimensions, could someone help me out with some dims and tips for making one.

Thank you.

I’d like to do something along these lines.

Google “steampunk light switch” and you’ll find many different versions. I’d be keen to make a few, but I’d need some measurements.

Frankenstein Light Switch Plate by LoboCNC - Thingiverse Found this just by chance, 3d printing but the overall dimensions should help.
