Longer Pieces Than Fit. How? Prospective owner

Hey All! Thank you in advance for your answer on this. I have searched some for this but didn’t see it yet. And now even with the “Your topic is similar to…” box I still don’t see it.

What if I wanted to do something like a growth chart ruler? Easily narrow enough to fit into any X-Carve. But they are up to 6 feet long. Is it possible to cut the whole ruler? If so, how does that work…is there a homing process and you slide the board through?
