After a night where nothing went well in the shop, I decided to make something simple and fun. So, this kazoo came out of it. Bottom from maple, top from walnut, bracket for the sound membrane from maple. All off the x-carve, just simple pockets in the main section so it would be hollow when glued together.
Finished off with some wax paper for the membrane, a couple of tiny brass screws, and some butcher block oil as a food safe finish - this is going in my mouth, after all.
The sound is actually very strong and kazooey.
