Inventables 1/8 & 1/4 Shank V-Bits Question in EP

Hello, I have had my XC1000 for little over a year and I was wondering if someone could help me with something.

I normally use the 1/8" Shank V Bits and would like to know if I use the 1/4" Shank do I need to make any adjustments on bit selection. (i.e. if I have to enter angle and width in the “other bit” section) What is that data going to be?

If not then is there anything else I need to take into consideration when using the 1/4" shank.

Lastly, this is a favor and hoping someone could point me in the right direction of another supplier that has a reliable selection of v bits and EM’s that may be a little bit cheaper then going through Inventables and other manufacturers.

Thank you kindly!

Nick

For V-bit carving you enter the diameter of the widest V-part, not shank diameter.
Plus angle of course.

For isntance I frequently use a 10mm 60deg V-bit with a 6mm shank.
So I use 60deg and 10mm as EM value.
