This machine has very low hours (10-15h). My DIY stepper controller recently burned up, and I haven’t had time to repair it.

Is this machine still available and can the controller be included in the sale price?

I don’t have an X-Controller, but I can include my DIY machine controller. Provided AS-IS, and will likely need an overhaul to be useful. Either some of the pins on the arduino are no longer functional, or the stepper drivers themselves are burned up. Use at your own risk! Pictures below:

What is your asking price?

$1600, as listed in the title. I’ll include in the controller box for free, since it is not functional.

Any ideas on what caused the controller failure?
Id be willing to commit on a purchase if I knew that replacing a controller setup (or portion thereof) was guaranteed to quickly get me a working setup, but its always a little hairy buying a “project” where things have gone wrong , and I am fine with a simple controller swap-out, but dont want to do more if I can help it (eg, would suck to get a new x-controller, hook it up, and have something else be wrong).

Separately: Build w/ stiffening brackets looks great !

My best guess is that the stepper controllers are defective or underpowered (cheapo ebay stuff). The wiring has been extended to account for the longer Y-axis. Beyond that, the motors, wiring, and limit switches are all stock from the 1000x1000 X-Carve kit. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Shipping the unit assembled is going to be a challenge. Because of the size it is over the limit for UPS, so would have to move Less-Than-Truckload in shipping (YRC, ABF, FedEx Freight, etc.). That requires strong packaging to withstand the treatment the unit will get in the LTL systems. Assume $100 to pack the beast and $250 in shipping costs.
