I’ve got a request to personalize a wooden axe handle (I assume it’s going to be hickory or ash,etc.) Does anyone have any experience carving on an irregular surface like that? Advice? I figured I could just set my z-axis to the high point and slowly work into the surface. Seems easy enough.
You can do something like this, you dont even need the probe, you can do it by eye or paper test.

Thanks, but I’m still playing around in Easel, haven’t made the move to full 3d yet. This might be a bit too deep for me at this stage. But I’m sure the response will help someone in the future.
