I bought an ‘ostrich eggbot kit’ years ago with the vibrating diamond etcher attachment for glass. You can fit some big stuff in there 
I used it pretty actively until I got a 3d printer. Even less after I bought a CNC

There are a lot of designs from simple to exotic if you search the web. You just have to pick your comfort level with building and programming.
Search for egg bot or sphere bot.
When you get bored manually changing pens, you can go this route.
