I have my X-Carve assembled (yay) and now I want to connect to my Apple MacBook Pro running 10.10.2 Yosemite. When I try to open the Easel_Local_v0.2.1.pkg it won’t allow it saying:
“Easel_Local_v0.2.1.pkg can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and indentified developers”
What to do?
It’s not easel’s fault, it’s the security settings on your computer.
If you google that exact phrase + “yosemite” you’ll find instructions on how to get around it. I haven’t watched the videos to see how they do so.

If you would rather keep the security settings where they are then you can just right click (two finger click on the trackpad) on the Easel Local and choose “Open” from the menu that pops up. It will give you a different warning, with the option to open anyway. Once you do this for one app, that same app will open with a double click from then on.
