whenever I load an image in image trace it keeps saying Invalid and cant trace. Any ideas?
could you please upload the image that you are trying to do here so i can take a look? 
I noticed that it does not work for me when I use internet explorer, but works great in firefox. Don’t ask me why.
^^^Same here. Works in Chrome and not IE
more than likley the svg that you have contains bitmap in it easel only imports pure svg files
