I have a new set of files posted on pinshape. I have printed and tested the files on my Shapeoko2 and it works fine, but would like to get someone with an X-Carve and 3D printer to do a test and fit on the X-Carve for me.

Send them over, I’m upgrading my 3D printer bed today, so it’ll probably be late tonight or tomorrow before I get a chance to print, but it looks like a great design!

How do you screw in a normal collet? It looks too sunk in.

The collet actually hangs slightly below the shoe since that will ensure the shoe can’t hit the material if you cut to max end mill reach. If it causes issued please let me know and I’ll try to modify the height.

The new 3d file are for the Xcarve with dw611 brackets correct ? I will have them printed

Hi,
I’ve only tested fit on the DW611 for the Shapeoko2 mounts. I am not sure if the clamp will slide all the way up on the X Carve/DW611 combo. If you can provide me a measurement from the bottom of the x-carve mount to the top of the spindle lock assembly, I can verify if it slides up all the way. If it won’t, I’ll push up my plans to modify the clamp height to ensure it it fits the x-carve as well.

Uploaded a new test version of the upper plate and clamp. It’s been shortened by 10mm and the vents and access port have been rounded off to improve print quality. I have not had a chance to test print. If you are able to print, please provide feedback!

not yet i contacted this local place to how much to print the 3 files and they wanted like $300 i just laugh, im looking for a place that can print them i can pay but not $300 lol

Have you tried 3D hubs?
Might be a lower cost on there? If you don’t find someone reasonable, let me know and maybe we can work something out to get u the parts. Im currently down for about the next 10 days though.

Im buying Folger Tech RepRap 2020 in couple of days, also i found someone willing to prints this for me on the website you provided for like $10 and i will pick it up local so it should not be long until i start testing
