Been having big accuracy issues when spot drilling some holes. The rest of the machine seems to be on point, it’s not a power issue as i’m using the dewalt 611 and poplar wood and only spot drilling 1/8th in. Any ideas? I was thinking the pots need adjusting, but with everything else finally running well I’m not sure i wanna fiddle with them.
Are the holes the same shape? E.g. possibly a software issue.
Or do you think it’s mechanical such as weird shape due to bit deflection while making the plunging cut across the grain?
Running a 611 in poplar I don’t think will be stressing the rig though.
Cheers
Ian
Holes are all the same, I’m using meshcam
What kind of accuracy issue? Spacing? Alignment? Depth?
