Hi All - Currently piecing together my x-carve as not all of the parts have arrived. The d/c and drag chain are both on backorder and I was wondering if I could continue with the build without the chain. I’m currently at the X-Carve Instructions: Drag Chain Bracket step and it’s just the brackets getting attached. Looking ahead, I don’t foresee any reason that I can’t at least build until I get to the gantry stage, but wanted more experienced users’ opinions.
I finished my build a couple days ago without the drag chain I taped the wires up some to keep them out of the way. I have done a couple carvings but I do sit and watch the wires so they don’t get caught or snagged on anything. Hopefully when the drag chain does come it will be easy to install but i’m just impatient and wanted to test out the machine.
