Hi, trying to make this project to test calibration
What I’m wondering is how I can change the pass through or z of the cut? My material is .2 inches, but it’s taking many passes to cut whole thing. Could I change it to cut .2 and cut all the pieces in one pass?
0.2 inches is a fairly significant depth of cut. What bit size are you using and what spindle do you have. The general rule of thumb is no deeper then half the diameter of the bit.
So a 1/4" (0.25") bit a good depth of cut is 1/8" (0.125").
But this all depends on the material you are cutting as well.
