Has anyone cut copper on the xcarve? I know you can cut aluminum and I know copper is pretty soft so just curious if anyone has done it.
I have carved copper. It’s possible.
Did you use similar settings as you would for aluminum?
What bit are you using?
I haven’t gotten one yet. Just trying to plan everything out so I have the best chance of success.
Thanks. I was just gonna use the 3in1 oil but I’ll use the stuff you recommended.
WD40 works well for me.
I carved a copper badge for my keepsake box Stuart's Projects - #29 by StuartPearson - Projects - Inventables Community Forum. I didn’t use any cutting oil but it was a smallish cut with an upgraded Z Axis.
It worked!
