I searched but all I found was “using bandsaw”. I do not have a bandsaw so what would be the suggestions for cutting apart the two halves when doing an inlay that may be wider than a table saw could handle?

@AngusMcleod gave the best answer. Even a regular saw or coping saw might work to you to a state to sand…
Thanks guys. I’d seen these types of saws but have not used one. I’ll look into it.

I bought one from amazon. The thin kerf allows the blade to be a tad more flexible and it really helps me cut off tabs to minimize sanding and get into tighter spaces.
