Cleaning Tap Magic Residue?

I purchased a bottle of Tap Magic for use with the thread forming screws in the kit. While looking at the bottle today, I read the note that the Tap Magic residue should be cleaned to prevent staining and/or corrosion. However, the bottle does not list recommended solvents, nor could I find such info on Tap Magic’s web site.

Does anyone know the proper solvent for cleaning the Tap Magic residue from my X-Carve?

My university uses Simple Green to clean oil residue from all of the mills, lathes, and CNCs in the machine shop. It’s what we were given to use for cleanup and it seems to work very well, without being harsh.

Thanks! Simple Green worked great (and even has a pleasant fragrance – much nicer than the smell of the Tap Magic).
