Hi guys,
I just wanted to share with your a bit of a warning for any cnc newbies like myself. I was in a rush and had to do a tool change on my dwp611, so i went to shut the router down before the g28 sequence was done on the Z axis. My middle finger got caught between the Z mounting plate and the router casing. Out of pure luck the motor stopped before doing too much damage to my finger.

This is my recovered finger, it looked a ton worse.

So be carefull when using your machine!

Sometimes education can be expensive. I’m glad it was just a minor injury.

Never, ever put your body in the way of a moving part…

Even an end mill that is not rotating can injure you! Be careful out there! :smiley:
