Adjustments on Z Axis goes down two, up one, down, up,

Hi all!

I’m having a weird problem when setting up to run a project. When zeroing in on the lower left, when i am lowing the Z, it occasionally go up. Then I’ll try it again and it will go down. Then up. No pattern that i can see to it. Each command works, but it seems random weather it goes up or down. Happen es in project too.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be going wrong?

I am having a very similar problem. Everything was working, shut it off then after a few hours I came back and now it only wants to go up. Have you found a solution?

I had the same problem and found the it was caused by the gshield not being seated well in the Arduino.

Check your stepper wires very well. A broke one or a short is likely.
