Got tired of rummaging thru draw, looking for hold downs, bolts and tools that I use all the time. Plus they were constantly falling off the end of my work table, so…built a tool/ parts tray to keep things in check.

I can’t find proper word to describe what you’re doing and sharing with us. I think best word is perfectionists. We can tell how organized personality you have. Even minor detail, that Axis home switch limiter screw, you insert white spacer to it. That is something never seen before. Great effort Jeff.

You have a good eye Alan to pick up on my plastic limiter bushing. Got them on X axis too. Use them for my zero mark and so my dust boot wouldn’t crash into the rails. I thank you for your comments, and yes, I am a little anal when it comes to…well just about everything!

It’d be great if at the least we could collaborate on sharing the 3D files of tool shapes so that people don’t have to re-draw tools which others have already drawn.
Flock! That is a nice box you made Will. I think sharing generic tool shape files would unfortunately be just that…generic, and unless they had the exact manufactured tool as in the file, it probably wouldn’t fit very well. Great thought tho, but can’t see it being too practical. Besides, we can’t do all the work for them…lol.
Yes, but people can share the specific tool file, and if people don’t have that exact tool, they can use that as a starting point.
Either we’re working together as a sharing community, or we’re not.
Only two choices? “working together” or “not”…
How about just helping out when we can.
There are always other choices!
