Thanks! The frame is clear pine, I set the rabbit so the sign would be flush, the board is actually prepainted with chalk board paint 1/4"x2’x4’ MDF from Home Depot, they have it for $10. I used a 60 degree V bit to carve it. The depth of the cut was .020.

I’ve made a couple signs with this material, I use a clear satin Poly to seal the letters and it doesn’t change the look of the paint at all. Super easy!
