750mm Vs. 1000mm

Hello,

is there any difference between these two machines besides the size???

Pros and cons

I read that the X axis rod can sag or bent when in the middle of a job. If this is true is there an upgraded rail to eliminate this issue.

I want to get the 1000mm so if there is no difference besides the size that would be great.

Where’d you read that? The new single piece X axis shouldn’t sag.

Nope.

Size is the only difference I believe. With the updated makerslide I believe any “sag” or flex has been elimanted. I own the 1000mm version with the newer X axis and have never had any problems.

when you say new X axis you are refering to having the 2015 version and upgrading to the 2017 ??

I bought mine at the end of 2016 with the upgraded x controller and the bigger x axis gantry. All the x carves come with this now.

I didn’t do any upgrades, it came that way.

Get the largest size that you have room for.

Going to that detail, the 750 mm uses 1/2” MDF spoilboard where the 1000 mm uses 3/4” MDF.
