The instructions say it should take 30 minutes to assemble the waste board. It took me about 1-1/2 hours. I must admit my wife says she thinks I’m OCD (obsessive compulsive) because of the time I spend trying to make everything as perfect as I can. Also, I read the instructions 3 times before starting! But I’m still surprised it took me so long. I don’t mean this as a complaint; I’m just happy to have it completed!!

It’s good experience and probably one you will never have to repeat. I have not sweated over a wasteboard since my very first several years ago. I definitely prefer the easy, cheap and destructible wasteboard school of thinking at this point. (AKA - regular slab of MDF, screw your work down right on throught it. Replace when necessary).

I know what you are saying it took me about a hour and a half.
Love the difference between what the instructions for some things say versus reality.
I’m actually CDO - it’s like OCD, but the letters are in the correct alphabetical order…

My machine had some down time for eccentric spacer Z-axis mod
8 weeks later , and uhm i have eccentric spacers on the Z - Makita Router - 30mm extra between wasteboard and Z , Jtech laser,
OCD-CDO and then some

I think mine was about half an hour, but that’s just because I happened to have the right size bit for my cordless drill.
