24v supplied spindle - Need to do PWM wiring?

Reading ahead in the instructions in the wiring section. It says you need to solder some headers on the gShield and add some wiring for automatic spindle control.

I bought the standard 24v spindle, do I need to do all this or is it for people bringing their own spindles? Instructions aren’t clear or I’m misunderstanding.

In order to get PWM (and thus speed control), you’ll need to wire the header up and attach the PWM leads. It’s not too huge a deal, and is pretty nice when it’s time to cut slightly slower with a 4 flute endmill.
