1.5kw water cooled spindle

I am looking to upgrade my spindle.

I plan on putting the radiator and pump on the back side of the z slide, so as to balance out the weight.

I have seen some talk about upgrades being limited to 0.8kw spindles in the past, but what about with the new and improved carriages being offered as of last year?

Why? i have a Dewalt 1 1/2 hp router on mine and can run it for 6 hours with no issues don’t waste money on stuff that can be spent better elsewhere.

A spindle can offer a lower minimum RPM than the Dewalt.
Spindle noise will also be less.
Runout can also be less.
